真假莊子的著作，二千年來合二為一。在同一本《莊子》裡，兩種
思想系統互相干擾，使人無所適從。李察先生歷史上第一次提出
質疑：是否在漢朝初年，曾經有人策劃刪改了莊子的著作。
秦皇焚書，不是問題。問題是焚書之後的漢朝，有少量殘存孤本
出現。此時，是否有人乘機從孤本中刪改了不符合漢朝統治利益
的著作。漢皇獨尊儒術，是否亦乘機刪改了其他學者的著作。漢
皇改書，是一個大規模的秘密操作。規模的範圍，不可能是幾個
人的偶然想像，是一個皇朝的力量發揮。整個秘密計劃的具體操
作情況，有待研究揭露。但改書的直接後果，可以在真偽混合的
莊子著作中看到。中國文化的種種現象，都可能在真偽混合的莊

Old version of Zhuangzi: "The Seven Inner Chapters"

The Seven Inner Chapters are considered original text by Zhuangzi traditionally. But actually there are fake texts mingle up with the original one, thus different schools of thought have mixed up, making the original Zhuangzi idea confused. In this part, Chard Lee had separated the true texts from the fake texts. He had translated both the true and the fake versions into modern Chinese language. Here is the English version.

「秦皇焚書，漢皇改書。」


The whole of the Chinese culture were shadowed by a complete set of factitious classics. It's unimaginable to the western eyes. What if all the works of Plato or Homer or Moses are fake? What will happen to the soul of the west? Is it such an easy way to reform the soul of a nation? This is exactly happened in China, two thousand years ago. Zhuangzi was the most confused thinker in ancient China. His works are all contradictory. No one could explain them. The true and false texts of Zhuangzi had combined together, two systems of thoughts co-exists in the same book. Chard Lee is the first to raise the question: Whether there was a conspiracy in early Han dynasty, someone had planned to edit and rewrite Zhuangzi's work. In 213 B.C, Emperor Chin, the Shih Huang Ti had ordered the burning of all the books in China. It was after the downfall of Emperor Chin, and then some scarce material reappeared, in the hands of new emperors of the Han dynasty, which is a time for heavy advocators of the Confucius way of Governing. Will there be a conspiracy to rewrite the materials to fit in the ruling thoughts? To rewrite most of the relics, change those dangerous ideas into proper and comfortable idea of the Han dynasty, might be a very important issue of the Governing mind set then. And this might be the only reason of the faked Zhuangzi books. All of a sudden, a complete grand volume of Zhuangzi reappeared. This new Zhuangzi, after all the fire risk and burning of the Chin Emperors, had become another Confucius minded philosopher, with a shadow of Laozi 's thought, for Laozi was another major cherished governing technique in the minds of the Han Emperors. And this is how the Chinese soul is shaped in the hands of a few Han bureaucrats. Now, after years of hard work, Chard Lee had separated the original Zhuangzi from the faked ones, using the technique of paradigm. He distinguished the different thoughts according to their original thinking system. Readers will find here the original thought of an ancient wisdom, which is one-God minded, and how the Universe is explained.
